Tank Size: Banded Coral Shrimp require a tank with sufficient space to move and explore. While they are relatively small in size, a tank size of at least 20 gallons is recommended to provide ample room for their activities.
Water Parameters: Maintaining stable and appropriate water conditions is crucial for the health of Banded Coral Shrimp. The recommended water temperature should be between 72°F and 78°F (22°C to 25°C). Salinity levels should be maintained at around 1.023 to 1.026 specific gravity, and pH levels should be within the range of 8.1 to 8.4. Regular monitoring of ammonia, nitrate, and nitrite levels is essential.
Substrate and Decor: Provide a suitable substrate for Banded Coral Shrimp to move and explore. A sandy or fine gravel substrate is ideal, allowing them to dig and burrow. Additionally, provide plenty of live rock structures or coral skeletons for them to perch on and hide within.
Water Flow: Banded Coral Shrimp prefer moderate water flow in the aquarium. Position powerheads or aquarium pumps strategically to create gentle and indirect water movement, allowing the shrimp to move comfortably without being overwhelmed by strong currents.

Tank Mates: Banded Coral Shrimp are generally peaceful but may show aggression towards other Banded Coral Shrimp or similarly colored shrimp. Choose tankmates carefully to avoid aggression or competition. They can coexist with a variety of peaceful fish and invertebrates, but aggressive or predatory species should be avoided.
Hiding Places: Banded Coral Shrimp appreciate hiding places within the live rock structures or coral skeletons. Provide caves, crevices, or small overhangs where they can retreat and feel secure. This will help them exhibit their natural behavior and reduce stress.
