Zoanthid - Nuclear Green

Zoanthids, also known as Zoas or Zoanthus, are popular and colorful soft corals. Here are care tips for Zoanthids:

• Water Parameters: Temperature: 74-80°F (23-27°C), Salinity: 1.023-1.025, pH: 8.1-8.4, Calcium: 380-450 ppm, Alkalinity: 8-12 dKH.

• Lighting and Placement: Zoanthids thrive under a wide range of lighting conditions, from moderate to high. They can adapt to different light spectrums, but moderate to high-intensity lighting is recommended for optimal growth and coloration. Place them in areas with moderate water flow, allowing gentle movement of their tentacles.

• Feeding: Zoanthids are photosynthetic and receive the majority of their nutrition from symbiotic zooxanthellae. However, they also benefit from supplemental feeding. They can consume dissolved organic matter in the water column. You can occasionally spot feed them with small meaty foods like brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, or specialized coral foods.

• Fun Fact: Zoanthids are renowned for their vivid and varied color patterns, ranging from bright oranges, reds, pinks, yellows, greens, blues, and purples.
