Water Parameters: Temperature: 74-80°F (23-27°C), Salinity: 1.023-1.025, pH: 8.1-8.4, Calcium: 400-450 ppm, Alkalinity: 8-12 dKH.
Lighting and Placement: Torch corals require moderate to high-intensity lighting. Metal halides, T5 fluorescent, or LED lights with a balanced spectrum are suitable. Place them in the middle to lower part of the aquarium where they can receive moderate lighting. Avoid placing them in direct, intense light to prevent bleaching. They can tolerate moderate water flow.
Feeding: Torch corals have a symbiotic relationship with zooxanthellae and primarily rely on photosynthesis for nutrition. However, they can also benefit from supplemental feeding. You can target feed them with meaty foods such as mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, or coral-specific liquid or powdered foods. Feed them two to three times a week.
